It depends upon the institution and how much money they have in the form of grants or resources. When I taught Yoga for Fidelity Investments, they supplied everything, I asked for.
On the other hand, some of the senior centers, I visit, don't have the funds, or grant money available, for anything beyond chairs. The YMCA depends on contributions from a variety of sources. Most of them will have grant money available, at certain times of the year.
Bottom line: I would let them know they need props, and eventually, they will get them, but be patient.
