Sorry about the mirrors, but you can take pics on a web cam or a video camera. Or you could practice yoga with friends.
There are many places to teach and lots of them don't require YA membership. For example - Health clubs, condo complexes, coporate work, parks, hospitals, schools, senior centers, etc. The Aura yoga courses show you where and how to find teaching positions.
About Yoga studios: They usally hire from within. In other words - they hire their own students who teach they own style. Yoga Alliance membership might be status symbol in LA, but lord knows why. They proved themselves to be takers in NY, VA, and MI. State Yoga teacher groups are better. The California Yoga Teachers Association (CYTA) is the best organization to join in CA and possibly the entire country.
If you decide to go the YA route with their yoga teacher training process - prepare to pay thousands for the experience and don't expect them to give you any support.
