I agree with Gator, but to a limited point. No disrespect intended - I'm Not so sure he could list one million modifications, but 1001 might be a more reasonable number. Asana that require students to hold the body's weight, put great pressure and stress on the wrist.
Each asana can be modified with closed fists instead of flat palms. This will reduce pressure on the wrists and forearms flat on the blocks, a chair, or on the floor - which make asana more manageable to practice considering the pain you feel without modifying.
