A few years ago Mr. Gator stated: "The records of the yoga alliance should be confiscated by Homeland Security and they should merge with a government agency to oversee all yoga instructors."

I'm sure he was making one of his dry jokes. We may have even laughed at his jokes. But it would seem the state of New York did something crazy. They contacted all of the registered yoga schools in the state. They didn't contact non-alliance schools. To tell them to cease and desist. It looks like they downloaded info about registered schools from the yoga alliance site.

This is a sad state of affairs. The organization (YA) that claimed to want to help standards of yoga teachers education has been by-passed by New York. Sorry to talk about money, but the state of new york ds indeed want to go after open pockets. What will happen? They will crush the life out of every registered yoga school in New York. They will hunt down the many schools who have nothing to do with yoga alliance.

This will help the economies of every neighboring state. Yoga will go underground in NY. If yoga studios are near a state line they'll consider relocation. Yoga will be purged from New York by bureaucracy. It's time for another escape from New York movie.
