Ultimately, there is no regulating body of Yoga at all. Who regulates a way of life? It is an odd mystery as to why so many yoga teachers feel the need to belong in a flock. Much like sheep hoping that the shepherds and dogs will protect them from the wolves. I am thinking you need to be certified for documentation and insurance purposes, but extra fees offered by the supposed shepherds of yoga do not protect you from the wolves. If the state becomes a wolf, you have to pay the state with blood, sweat and taxes. If you refuse to do the needful, the state will fine and imprison you. This the supposed shepherds of yoga cannot protect you from. Why pay the shepherd who says the wolf is doing a good thing by culling the flock?
