Namaskar Everyone,
Ouch! That was way too honest. It is painful to lose friends or family or both. But it needed to be said. Sometimes doing all the right yogic things can make us feel insulated and then the concept of our mortality creeps in.
The biggest point to be considered on this thread is that Yoga, therapy, and medicine do make positive contributions toward stroke prevention. Sorry to say: Prevention is not a mathematical equation. It is a law of statistics and probability. It makes sense.
Meaning no disrespect to Yoganandji, but if we live long enough we will attend a great many funerals, wakes, and memorial services. My questions to Yoganandji
are: How is your health? Do you feel this may be "survivor guilt?"
You are obviously sharp enough to use a PC or Mac quite well and this leads to another question. Are you over 75 years of age? If this is so, the case could be made that you are a good example of a sattvic diet and a yogic lifestyle.
Kind Regards,
Gator
