In my own morning practice, I have now been doing a few hatha surya namaskars followed by a few ashtanga ones. It really gets you hot. Then, I like to add a wheelbarrow and 4 stick in between up and down dogs (not sure what style that is, power a la Bryan Kest, I guess). I don't know how as a teacher I would instruct my class here, it will all depend.
