Hi Paul - The conference was excellent and I would highly recommend it! There was an excellent array of workshops and topics offered. In addition to the Maya Yoga workshop, other sessions that I really enjoyed were a "slow flow" vinyasa workshop given by Moses, and a Yoga in midlife workshop given by Lilias Folan. The "slow flow" title was a little deceiving as this ended up being one of the most demanding Yoga sessions that I have ever had. It was a non-stop, 2 hour intense vinyasa flow experience. The workshop with Lilias was excellent. She has a wonderful way of leading a Yoga practice. Her commentary, advice and adjustments on asanas were outstanding. Since the workshop with LIlias was one of the last ones at the conference, the attendence was smaller and everyone got a lot of individual attention. The Midwest Yoga Conference is held every year at the end of May in Chicago. This is the second time that I have attended and I will definitely be there next year!
