Sages, Gurus, Swamis, and Yoga teachers, are available to guide you in a positive direction. Consult with one who is where you want to be. For example: If I want to be a better tennis player, I need a coach who understands how to improve my game. Coaches, teachers and mentors, help us find our way in life. As you continue being coached, you should censor your viewing of television, the Internet, books, and information. Why should you do this? Bad news sells lots of copy, but it is not good for the mind. We live at a time, when we know almost every bad news story on the planet. This has a toxic effect on us and our children.
Recently, there have been some objections to using words like empowerment, abundance, success, and achievement, within Yogic writings. However, it would be much more difficult to open the doors of my wellness center, in North Providence, if I were homeless. Imagine the number of children, teens, adults, and seniors, who could not reap the benefits of Yoga, if every teacher took a vow of poverty.
Therefore, look at your strengths and be honest with yourself about what your goals really are. There have been many successful Yogis, and some spiritual leaders, who had the clothes on their backs as their only possessions. They did not pursue material wealth, but instead, helped others until their last day.
